Classical Education Resources for Parents

Classical Education is prolonged exposure to the Good, True, and Beautiful, or Great Books and Great Art. Christopher Perrin defines Classical education as “the authoritative, traditional, and enduring form of education begun by the Greeks and Romans, developed through history, and being renewed and recovered in the twenty-first century.” This is a great starting point, and we encourage parents to use this as a launch pad. We also will say that parents should pick up the books their children are reading in school and join the conversation.

That said, we want to make sure anyone has access to great resources on Classical Christian education, so we have developed the lists below. This is certainly not extensive, nor does it necessarily reflect the curriculum used in the school. What it does do is begin the general conversation into what we believe is the only education worth having. This education will survive the century and it will draw you closer to our Trinitarian God of the Universe as long as your heart is open to seeking Him.
