Dr. Atmatzidis holds a Bachelor of Science degree with a double major in Chemistry and Mathematics from Washington College in Chestertown, MD. He pursued both Master’s and Doctoral studies in Environmental Engineering at Temple University in Philadelphia, PA, focusing his dissertation on the innovative use of nanomaterials in dialytic fluid purification processes for the removal of contaminants from water. Driven by a passion for education, Dr. Atmatzidis is dedicated to helping students develop a deeper understanding of mathematics, encouraging them to see it as a powerful tool for describing and explaining the intricacies of the physical world. Outside the classroom, Dr. Atmatzidis values quality time with his family and friends, enjoys fishing, computer games, and regularly embraces time for quiet study and reflection.
